Hi! I’m Kate (she/they), I’m currently living in a one bedroom apartment in Port Coquitlam with my dog, Oliver, and am interested in finding a roommate to help reduce the cost of rent. My moving dates are flexible, though I would need to give my landlords two months’ notice. I am happy to scope out apartments/houses for folks who are currently living out of town. Would love to pay around $1000/month for rent, but I am fortunate to have a bit of flexibility and can go up to $1250.

About me: I am queer, 29 (turning 30 in May) and am originally from Toronto. I am a municipal policy coordinator working a 9-5(ish), voluntarily run a nonprofit organization evenings/weekends (my term is up in June), and am currently wrapping up a climate adaptation certification. I am a big hobby person, including hiking, rock climbing (bouldering mostly), paddling, swimming, biking (recent), baking, reading, crafting (crochet, macrame), board gaming, and gardening. I love spending my weekends outdoors and would be happy to go on local adventures with a roommate if they are interested (though not essential if that’s a boundary for you). I like to keep my place relatively clean though when things get really busy, thorough cleaning may be delayed until the weekend. My dog Oliver is large and would likely need a couple of introductions when first meeting but once he recognizes you, he’s a big lap dog. I come with a vehicle and apartment furnishings. I’ve been living on my own for a few years but have historically lived with roommates during undergrad/grad school.

My ideal roommate is a woman or non-binary person who has previously lived with roommates.
