Description

Hi, My Name is Pete, I’m a 38-year-old Toronto native chiropractor that’s looking for a roommate one month from the end of this month. Here’s the pitch: let’s see if we’re a vibe, and I can fully furnish all but one bedroom of a 2-3 bedroom apartment for us. Looking for a nicer place that saves us money and is beautiful in the east end. Would prefer to find a place that has rent control so either of us can stick around when the other has to get on with the rest of their lives. Facts About me · I’m a big nerd with a growth mindset. I can get interested about almost anything. I have a life that’s full of community and rich one on one relationships. I try my best to live a healthy, active lifestyle, and am a stellar cook. · I work 6 days a week on a pretty regular schedule. I’m up by 645 every morning to work out, and usually in bed by 11 · Latest I’d usually leave the apartment to get about my day would be 11am, usually returning round 730, 8pm during the weekdays · In my perfect world I’m hosting a little dinner party once per month, and having friends come by on a regular basis 2-3 evenings/weekends per week · I play guitar and sing decently, during reasonable hours · Non-smoker and would prefer same. Definitely would prefer no smoking/vaping in the house · Would enjoy a mutually negotiated standard of how we keep and live in the space, where we both feel like we’re on the same team and can comfortably call each other out on when we aren’t hitting the standard of that agreement. What Makes Me A Great Roommate · Killer communication and conflict resolution skills · Regular cleaner (part of my am routine) · I’m basically a human golden retriever What might give you pause · I will definitely leave open cupboard doors when leaving the room (but I will close them when I return) · I am terrible at making playlists What Would make you a great roommate · You have a dog (not required, but dogs are dope) · You have good communication skills · You have interests and hobbies you’d like to talk about · You understand good boundaries and have a life you’re excited to bring other folks into. · You would like your roommate relationship to be cordial at worst and friendly, collaborative and secure at best
