Hello, is/ are my future roomie/s out there?

I’m Dana, an Australian moving to Vancouver for two years in early September to take up a position at St Paul’s Hospital working in healthcare research. I’ll also be doing a course part-time at uBC Robson Square.

I’m looking for a FURNISHED rental with roomates who are female/LGBTQIA+/ a couple. I plan to initially rent for a few months, but would be pleased to extend if we’re a good fit. Ideally I would like to rent in the Kits/ Jericho/ Granville/ Fairview/ Sunset/ West End/ Mount Pleasant area, but am flexible. I’d consider it a real bonus to live in a heritage/ character home.

A bit about me: I enjoy biking, hiking and just generally being in nature, so I’m very excited to move to Vancouver and experience all the activities on the city’s doorstep! In my home city I am active in my garden and like to engage with community activities. I’m also a keen reader and am in a book club at home.

I have lived with room-mates many times (the world over!) and am easy to get along with and live together with. I am self-sufficient in a shared home and respectful of communal spaces. I’m clean and tidy and do not smoke/vape and would like to live with others who live similarly in that regard.

I enjoy meeting new people and perspectives and enjoy shared living. It would be great to live with people who enjoy a chat at the end of the day. If we get on well enough to join up for hiking/ biking/ skiing, more’s the better!

I am an animal lover and as I won’t have a pet myself during this time, I would be thrilled if my new home had a resident pet!
