Hi! My name is Awais, and I am a graduate student in Electrical Engineering from NUST (National University of Sciences and Technology) in Pakistan. I will be in Victoria this summer for a research placement at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC Herzberg) from June through August, so I am looking for a comfortable, quiet place to stay for those three months. In terms of what I bring as a housemate: I keep a clean and organized living space, I respect shared areas, and I am generally someone who keeps to a regular schedule since my work at NRC starts early. I spend most of my day at the research facility, so you would rarely find me at home during working hours. Evenings I am usually studying, cooking, or winding down quietly. I do not smoke, I do not drink, and I have no pets. I am comfortable living with people of any background and genuinely enjoy the experience of meeting new people, especially in a new country. I treat shared spaces the way I would want others to treat mine. Since this is a short-term stay, I fully understand that the house has its own rhythm and routines, and I am happy to fit into whatever works for everyone. Communication is something I take seriously, so if anything ever comes up, I would always rather talk it through than let it become an issue.
