I’m helping Jay, my 26 year-old kid, find an apartment for their year long Cultural Studies graduate program (University Winnipeg) starting Sept. 1 2026. This summer they’re Camp Health Director at a camp for non-binary and transgender youth, Camp Aranu’tiq, in New Hampshire. Way too busy to do an apartment search. They want a quiet place to study. No drama. They’ve lived with their partner for three years in Minneapolis, but they will live apart during Jay’s grad school. They might bring their cat Bean to Winnipeg (TBD) who is a very well behaved four year old tortie. They discreetly use cannibus. They have a car but not sure if they will bring it to Winnipeg. After three years of employment in the health care industry, they want to focus on studying and their Research Assistant position.
