Sam Jarvis

Howdy! My name is Sam, and I am an incoming student at the University of Ottawa in August 2027. I currently reside in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. I’m going to be getting my Masters-PhD in Experimental Psychology, as I want to spend my career studying Alzheimer’s and Dementia in elder queer populations.

Speaking of queer, hello! I am trans, and very queer. I am very comfortable with myself and my identity, and I truly love who I have grown to be.

I have a 5 year-old medium/large sized mixed breed dog named Creature. He’s an absolute sweetheart, and his favorite animal is sharks (mine too!). I’m sure y’all will be fast friends.

Here’s a little bit about who I am outside of being a student! My hobbies include reading, drawing, journaling, playing trumpet, and cooking! My favorite book is Tweak by Nic Scheff, and I am a passionate physical media collector (though unfortunately, much of my collection will remain here in the United States). I’m a huge movie buff, and am always down for a movie night.
