Hi! I’ll be working in the Durham Region, and I’m looking for a place in Ajax for at least a year, with a budget of around $1,000/month. I’m pretty career-focused this year and will likely be working a lot, so I’m looking for a comfortable, clean, and relatively peaceful home. I’m not much of a partier and I’m generally introverted and quiet, especially at first, but once I’m comfortable I don’t mind chatting and hanging out! Outside of work, I enjoy painting, watching shows, cooking, trying new restaurants, and I’m a huge foodie! I usually meal prep at the end of the week, typically on Sundays, and cook dinners once in a while. As a roommate, I’m clean, respectful, and pretty easygoing, although I can be a little particular about cleanliness…I’m not really a shoes worn inside the house person if you know what I mean! I also really appreciate keeping the bathroom clean and having everyone keep their personal items together on their own side or bathroom cart. I’m generally very chill and flexible, and good communication is the biggest thing for me. I’m a bit of a planner and can be a stickler for schedules and pre-planned things, so I just appreciate knowing about things in advance. I’d prefer a female roommate in their mid-to-late 20s who also wants a respectful, relatively calm home. I’m totally happy to become friends with my roommate if we click, but I also completely respect privacy and having separate lives, respect goes both ways. I don’t mind guests, and I’m fine with my roommate having friends over as long as they’re respectful of the shared space; if there’s a party or more than a couple people coming over, I’d just appreciate a heads-up. I may also occasionally have friends visit and stay overnight, and I’d be respectful about giving notice. I don’t smoke and would prefer no smoking or vaping in common areas, although I’m fine with it being done outdoors or in someone’s own designated space where permitted. I’m also completely fine with pets as long as they’re well cared for and cleaned up after. Ideally, I’d love a private bathroom, but I’m open to sharing with the right roommate as long as we both keep it clean. Overall, I’m very easygoing, I just like good communication and knowing things in advance!
