I am a 34yo trans man looking for a long term temporary housing of up to 2 years while I work on applying for visas and immigration with my American fiancé. I am currently located on Vancouver Island, and am eager to remove the ferry from my relationship.

I am a freelance illustrator, though I won’t be storing or using anything other than graphite and sketchbooks. Paints and canvases will remain with the bulk of my belongings in storage with my fiancé in his residence in Washington.

Prior to this life transition I worked almost a decade as a thrift sales associate. I am currently unemployed, but it does not impact or reflect my finances. It does however leave me open for extra cleaning work around the property.

I am seeking a small fully furnished student style room. My biggest concerns with washer, dryer and shower function. My preferred household chore is scrubbing tile (bathroom/kitchen), though I enjoy sweeping as well.

The majority of my time will be spent drawing, gaming or quietly chatting with my fiancé over call, though I will make use of third spaces to reduce sound during sensitive hours or if it becomes a problem to any residents.

I do not smoke cigarettes or use hard drugs, but I do smoke cannabis and am willing to smoke off property and will be keeping minimal, clean paraphernalia to reduce smells.
