Javier

My name is Javier Saldivia. I’m 27 years old, and I was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. I’m proud of my Chilean and Salvadorian background, and I’ve spent my entire life in Toronto. I’m a responsible, hardworking, and respectful man who takes a lot of pride in the way I maintain my home and the environment around me.

I currently work full-time at Indigo Books on overnight shifts, where I have been employed since September of last year. I’ve been working consistently since I was 15, and having a steady work history has taught me the importance of responsibility, reliability, and following through on my commitments and promises. Paying my bills on time is very important to me, and I make sure that rent is always a priority.

I’m also a very clean and organized person. I genuinely enjoy keeping my living space neat, well maintained, and comfortable (I also like to bake). I’m someone who likes to take care of my surroundings, whether that means keeping the house clean, maintaining a garden or backyard, or simply making sure the space I’m living in is treated with care and respect. I’m looking for a home where I can have the freedom and space to enjoy my days off while also taking pride in maintaining the property.

I have a one-year-old kitten named Mara, who is an important part of my life. I’m a responsible pet owner and understand the importance of keeping a home clean and making sure a pet is properly cared for as well as keeping her properly maintained in case any other tenants have concern for her or their own well-being.

Outside of work, I enjoy writing and I’m hoping to eventually go to school to pursue a skilled trade and build toward a long-term career. I also enjoy spending time with close friends and having my girlfriend or a friend over from time to time. I’m very social and enjoy good company, but I’m also respectful of the people I live with and understand the importance of privacy, quiet, and personal space.

I don’t smoke or drink. I very rarely partake in cannabis, and when I do, I make sure it is done away from my residence. I’m generally looking for a peaceful, clean, and respectful living environment.

As a roommate or tenant, communication is very important to me. I would much rather have someone be honest and straightforward with me if there is ever an issue than let something build up. In return, I try to be considerate, approachable, and respectful of the people I live with. Ideally, I’m looking for roommates or landlords who are similarly clean, friendly, communicative, and respectful.

While I don’t currently have formal rental references outside of family, I’m more than willing to provide whatever information a prospective landlord may reasonably require to establish my reliability. I take my responsibilities seriously and would be happy to demonstrate that I’m someone who can be trusted to care for a home and consistently meet my obligations.

Overall, I’m looking for more than just a place to live. I’m looking for a home that I can feel comfortable in, take care of, and be proud of. I believe I would make a dependable, clean, respectful, and considerate tenant who would treat the property and the people around me with care.
