Please read to end: my roommate and I would like to find someone asap to rent a detached house with for a year. Our landlord is selling the house we live in, so we need to be out by November. We’re looking to find another roommate since rent is so high now. We’re both musicians; I play drums and he plays guitar. I teach lessons and will be turning the basement into a home recording studio (which I will being pay more of the rent for to compensate for that), so you would have to be ok with the drumming and playing of guitar and singing from time to time. I can assure you we would not play any later than eleven pm, maybe a little later on Friday and Saturday. We would not obviously play if you were sleeping (just don’t sleep when I am teaching; I would let you know when I was teaching). Plus, we don’t suck, so it should not sound bad (but everyone has their bad days, right? We’re also geeks: video games, movies, cartoons, graphic novels, anime, toys; between the two of us, we’re into it all. We smoke pot (more so me than him) and enjoy a few beverages here and there, but we are not big partyers by any means. I also keep the toking either in the unfinished room in the basement of the house, garage or outside. I care too much about anything happening to my stuff and keeping a clean, comfortable, professional looking place for students and people coming over to record. We are social but at times want/like our alone time. You won’t have to worry about cleaning. I will take care of it. You just have to take care of your room please and obviously pickup after yourself, but I got dishes, cleaning the bathroom and kitchen and vacuuming covered. It’s looks fresh as f*ck when I am done cleaning. Same with lawn maintenance, garbage and recycling. I don’t mind taking care of all that as well. No need to worry about doing any of that if you don’t want to. I have enough stuff to furnish the place, but if you have your own things and furniture, you can bring it. We already split the utilities, so it would be split between the three of us. Utilities will be under my name. Utilities has been at most three hundred and thirty dollars -that was using AC, so split between everyone would be hundred and eleven dollars, just to give you an idea of what to expect. I always pay the utilities, and I just tell you (preferably in an email) how much everything was and how much it is split, and you just pay the total owing. We’re just looking for someone down to earth, chill, clean with good hygiene, can be trusted to pay their share of the bills and not be disrespectful with our belongings or steal our stuff, including food.
