About the room
This is a 3-bed 1-bath apartment on the 2nd floor of a Victorian-style home in the Annex, just off of Bloor Street.
We’re an 8-minute walk from both Bathurst and Spadina subway stations, so it’s very accessible to both Line 1 and Line 2 as well as the 510 and 511 streetcars. We have a really good dishwasher, shower/tub, a large bathroom with two sinks, and AC.
The living room and kitchen are fully furnished, and our roommate, who is moving out, is coming back in July to sell what she can and pack up. If you’re interested in a furnished room or moving in before Aug/Sep, let me know and I can see if she’s interested in that option!
About the roomies
I’m Kat and my roommate, Robin, are 28 and 24-years old. I am a recent graduate who is working in public health research and Robin is going to school for acting! I also have the sweetest little (senior) cat named Scrappy. She is a Scottish Fold and a little diva, who likes to chitchat and be cuddly in her own way.
We’re looking for a third roommate to live with us for the next year. We like to keep the apartment clean, organized, and fun! We’ve hosted game nights, PowerPoint nights, and we’ve also started a weekly tv show night (right now, it’s Fleabag). To illustrate our vibe, the last three pictures included here are of Scrappy, the place decorated for our Christmas party, and a Shrek cake we made together.
The ideal roommate for us would be an older student or young professional (25-34) who is progressive, loves cats, and is social and communicative. We would love to have a roommate who participates in our movie nights or game nights, but that’s not a requirement and there’s no obligation to join those, at all.
To keep the place clean and organized, we have a tally chart and a weekly assigned task that rotates. One thing we prioritize the most is proactive communication. Life gets busy so those shared chores realistically may not get done when want them to so it’s important to us that we communicate with each other when we’re having a busy week so that as roommates we can adjust and help each other out.
We would like to have someone sign with first and last month’s rent, we can accommodate with instalments, if that works better.
