About the room
Please note: The interior as pictured is not an accurate representation of what you’ll see August 1st; it needs some love. I currently live & work in Montréal, so I’ll be helping the owner to repaint and replace lighting fixtures during the month of July!
We have a room available in a beautiful three bedroom house right by the Laurier Metro, and are looking for a lovely soul to join our space. If you are friendly, creative, and excited to collaborate to make a cozy and joyful house community, we want to meet you!
Your Room:
- $750 per month + utilities
- Large window, closet, exposed brick wall
- Some existing furniture may be available, let us know your needs
The Apartment:
- 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms
- Includes stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and washer/dryer
- First floor: Kitchen, dining room, living room with upright piano, two-piece bathroom
- Private backyard with storage shed & exclusive locked passageway to the street
- Second floor: Three bedrooms with closets, a three-piece bathroom, hallway closet
- Shared second-floor balcony at the front of the house
- TONS of storage and secure bike parking
- Some furniture in common spaces will be included but we’d also love to collaborate for some items
About the roomies
⭐️ Cloé (24, she/her): I’m Canadian-American living for the first time in Montreal as I pursue my Masters of Social Work at McGill. I love learning and I’m fascinated by everything psychology and sociology! Outside my studies, you’ll find me traveling the world, people watching in a cafe, hosting cozy movie nights, hiking in the mountains, reading, sitting in a sauna, or crafting. I love chill evenings with a few close friends and trying out new hobbies.
🌷 Lydia (26, she/her): I currently work full-time in home fashions product development in Montreal, but I’m pivoting back to school for my Master’s degree in Information Studies at McGill this fall! I’m your toolbox-having handyman, I love being a mom to my cat & plants, and I always have a new project idea I want your thoughts on. While I really value a quiet home and my alone time, I also love to hang with roommates & friends for movie nights, crafting sessions, and picnics in the park (or our backyard-to-be)!
🐈 Beau/Bobo: Lydia’s social & playful 6-year-old orange cat. He loves to be the protector of the house, go on walks outside in his harness, and find new beds to snooze the afternoons away in 💤
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who wants to contribute to a genuine house of friends for the long-term. Ideally, you’re someone open, considerate, and communicative who wants to share moments together as housemates while also respecting each other’s privacy and personal space. You must be LGBTQ friendly (bonus if you’re queer) and a cat lover, as Beau is royalty in this house.
