Looking for ONE special someone for a niche rental offering…. *** PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD ***

I am in a unique situation as a FT live in caregiver (also work another PT night job) where I am able to open up space in the home for a VERY special person who needs ridiculous reduced rent by being able to give him his coffee, paper and his cereal in the morning (7-8.30 am time) to afford me to sleep in as I also work a night job.

Monthly rent is $250 per month and includes hydro, WIFI, Garbage collection (not recycling).

Fully furnished room provided (bed, dresser, lamp, closet) on the upper floor and faces north. There is a main bathroom that you will almost exclusively have use of (I would use the shower). If you have a TV with Roku or Firestick you are set as there is no dedicated cable nor satellite.

Shared large, bright kitchen, laundry facilities, pantry for your items, room for car parking.

The home is situated on a gated 5 acre property complete with a stunning view, ample front and back yard and serene quietness in the 259/100th area of Thornhill, in Maple Ridge. While the 748 Thornhill bus route comes out here, someone with a car is probably a better fit.

SORRY no pets NO smoking (of anything) in or around house. NOT 420 friendly as im allergic NO children, NO Overnight guests. Not looking for social butterflies who constantly want people over - the home setup does not accommodate that with the senior literally in the middle of the house universe. Please go to your social life, do not bring it here.

Looking for an honest, calm, caring, not easily ruffled, thick skinned and genuinely love seniors type of person. Maybe you are relocating and need a place to land until you figure out the area, leaving a domestic situation, leaving home finally etc. I’m open to hearing your story but please understand that I do have to be extremely picky and sensitive for my client who is vulnerable.

There is no guarantee of any fixed term as the rental arrangement continues for as long as my client is living, and at this address. Should he graduate to heaven or his needs change and he enter a facility we would both be vacating the property with 30 days notice (more in winter months) and the owner (who lives in Bali) would return and take up residence again in his home.

My client is 86, hard of hearing, sometime cantankerous but overall a good guy.

ABOUT ME: Christian, love travelling, 32 years in legal field, love reading, writing a book, love gardening.

2 other RV tenants live on the property (age 50+) so it is a very low key, zen-like chill vibe out here. You might actually feel like you are on vacation and remember to breathe and exhale!
