Note: The photos currently attached are of the shared areas. I will have photos of the actual bedroom posted in a day or two!
I am looking for a responsible roommate to fill a spacious room in a terrific, safe area. I believe in being completely upfront about the pros and cons of the space so we don’t waste each other’s time.
The Room & Finances
- Very spacious room with a massive closet (literally big enough to fit a desk and all your clothes)
- All utilities included EXCEPT internet (currently ~$50 each, but my contract is up soon so I am looking for a better deal)
- Full access to a shared TV, entertainment unit, and laundry room
The Location
- Incredibly convenient for walking and transit
- Located right off 109th Street along major bus routes
- 15-minute walk to the closest LRT station and the U of A campus
- Direct transit routes to MacEwan University and South Edmonton Common
The Reality of the Space
- The property is pretty quiet, but it is a bit of a “landlord special” and you will hear some road noise
- We had a minor flooding issue two weeks ago (overflowing eaves troughs), but the landlord fixed it within a couple of days
- I am happy to honestly discuss any other pros and cons upfront during a viewing
About Me & Dealbreakers
I am a working professional who has held a stable job for the last 2.5 years, and I lead a very quiet, low-key lifestyle. I am looking for a roommate who shares this exact mindset.
Strict Dealbreakers:
- No dirty smells
- No loud people or parties
- No drinking
- No pets
- Zero tolerance for homophobic or racist individuals
(Note: Depending on the person, there might be exceptions to general lifestyle guidelines, but these are the baseline expectations)
House Expectations
- Noise curfew from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM (it isn’t strictly enforced, but as a general guideline, nothing louder than a vacuum cleaner during those hours)
- Household chores will be divided evenly
Next Steps
If this sounds like a good fit and you appreciate a quiet, stable environment, please shoot me a message for further details. The roommate process goes as follows:
- Shoot me a message to schedule a quick 5-10 minute phone conversation.
- We will schedule a viewing to see if you like the place in person.
