About the room
(If this ad is still up, the room IS available. Please read the FULL description, and tell me a little about yourself in your response.)
(Sorry: no couples, pets, or smokers. Speaking English is a must, as are good communication skills.)
I’m a single older lady, with a large and attractive master bedroom that’s fully furnished as a rental space. It’s move-in ready, and just waiting for the right person.
I define “the right person” as a nice lady – young or old – who’s quiet, friendly, responsible, mature, and reasonably articulate. Domestic habits are a plus!
I’m looking for a clean, quiet, mature, and responsible tenant, preferably female – because it’s easier for me to share a bathroom with another lady!
• Sunny apartment on the second floor of a well-maintained duplex, in Ottawa’s west end.
• Spacious furnished room (11’ x 14’), with a comfy queen-sized bed, fully made up.
• Modern clean kitchen with updated appliances.
• Nice clean bathroom with lots of hot water.
• Full-sized washer and dryer in flat.
• Toasty gas heating for winter; cool central air for summer.
• Large deck for summer lounging, plus a big grassy yard out back.
• If you have a car, parking is in a large shared driveway; or on the street.
• Located in the Britannia Beach neighbourhood – on Conn Street, just off Poulin St., a few steps from Richmond and Carling (near the Farm Boy grocery store). Googlemap the location, to see if it works for your commute.
• If you don’t have a car, there are several local buses – check the routes on the OCTranspo website.
• Just a short walk (or bike ride) to Britannia park and beach; the local lake and trails; and the biking and skiing paths along the Ottawa River.
Your rent of $1,000/month includes heat, hydro, water, and internet (I don’t have cable).
Available immediately; first and last months’ rent required.
Let’s meet, so you can check out the space – and see how we hit it off!
About the roomies
This building is a duplex, with two other apartments – I live on the top floor, by myself, in a three-bedroom unit. One of the rooms is the one I’m offering to rent.
