You’ve Got to See This House! (Sorry for the formatting mess)

Spend the next week moving in at your own pace at no extra cost.

• Friendly, outgoing roommate looking to share a massive 2-story, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom condo in a private gated community.

You aren’t just renting a room here, you have say in the entire home, set-up, décor, furnishing, etc.

• $1,250 might seem steep at first but read through and see why its well worth it; you can pay a little less to share a much smaller space and feel like you are on top of each other, or you can live here and enjoy over 1,400 sq. ft. of living space.

• Price Includes: Rent, utilities, Fibre internet, OptikTV, powered parking stall immediately down the front steps, and the house backs on the to the Martindale train platform so its very easy to get anywhere from here by transit. (Don’t worry, train noise is not a problem).

20 mins to downtown, 5-10 mins to other hubs. Quick driving access to main feeder routes and the inner city.

• Tons of mature greenery, garden beds ready for use, and a peaceful relaxing area with great neighbours. Windows and lights galore, no dark and dingy spaces even in the winter months.

• Home was completely renovated before I moved in. While there are a few quirks (DIY renovator), it has all new higher-end furnishings throughout (toilets, sinks, floors, cordless blinds, etc.) and brand new top of the line stainless steel appliances, including dishwasher and full-sized laundry tower.

You would have your own full sized fridge.

• Your bedroom has a walk-in closet and can come semi-furnished, or bring your own things. Currently has a beautiful daybed with brand new mattress.

• Our bedrooms are on opposite ends of the house; no icky feeling of sharing your bedroom wall with a stranger (we all need our privacy right?).

• West facing house, you would wake to the sunrise, but by afternoon the sun has moved over to the front of the house so the back stays much cooler.

• If a nice bathroom is your thing, this is it. Huge glass shower with a tower panel (look it up), overhead rainfall, wand, and adjustable massage jets. Digital temperature and time reading (like I said, quirky).

• I am also not opposed to sharing my soaker tub upstairs once in a while with the right roommate (everyone has those days).

• The third bedroom is currently being used as an office which can be shared. There are two desks but if you’d rather bring your own that works too. Also open to other considerations for this space.

• Kitchen is to die for. If you love cooking, baking, entertaining, or you just appreciate a beautiful kitchen you’ll love this one. White marble and glass window cupboards. Brand new stainless steel pots and pans purchased last year.

• Morning sun floods in through a large picture window, you can eat at the island, enjoy the fresh air on the covered front porch, or we can set up a more formal dining area. There’s tons of space to work with.

• Living room is equally large on the front of the house with bay windows and lots of natural light, but doesn’t get direct sunlight thanks to the porch.

I currently have an antique couch and Lazyboy that I’m fond of, coffee table not so much, along with a little storage nook but that only takes up half the room, so again tons to work with. Space to set up a large TV, or even another desk if desired.

You will be an equal tenant here, not just a sub-let.

• No smokers, I am highly allergic
• 420 edibles are no problem. Non-nic vaping could be a conversation before move-in

• Cat possible/dogs unlikely but may consider (see below)
• I do not discriminate based on source of income, I don’t care where your money comes from as long as your bills are paid on time.

I’m a 46 yr old woman, widowed, no children of my own but I have spent most of my life mentoring other peoples kids.

I am currently not working due to health concerns, but hoping to change that in the coming months.

I have a senior great dane who is my service dog. Therefore I am willing to consider a dog-friendly cat, and possibly an older, calm, quiet dog.

Sorry, young, bouncy, or energetic breeds just wont work here.

I am very extroverted and enjoy conversation and interaction; if you are someone who wants to be quietly in your bedroom the majority of the time this is probably not the best place for you, but I’m open to meeting everyone. I understand and respect social batteries and the need to decompress and take time to yourself.

I get along with people of all ages, from your 20’s to your 60’s I’ve had roommates of all kinds. I am especially interested in meeting people from other walks of life with varying interests and perspective.

My last roommate was with me almost 4 years, so I am looking for someone who also wants stable, long-term, not having to play the move each year game.

Unfortunately they had to leave unexpectedly and now I am rushing to find someone new because I can not carry the house myself.

I may in the future host game nights and/or enjoy entertaining/cooking for a group, but the house is calm and quiet with no real traffic or visitors the gross majority of the time.

Respectful guests are always welcome within reasonable limits, which we can figure out together. Overnight guests would need to be discussed before move-in.
