About the room
I clean the main living areas every weekend and only ask that you clean up after yourself (and your fully furnished bedroom). The kitchen is stocked with the necessities (and i dont even cook) I even provide the toilet paper. Quite often we go to the grocery store together with my car (though its a few minutes walk away). I do all the yard work. Large front porch and big back yard with a fire pit. This is a secure and peaceful home. No overnight guests and female oriented space. Though, I have a trusted male handyman (husband of my bestie) who will be doing some renos on weekend afternoons this autumn. Space for 1 vehicle and I have a contract for snow removal. 7 minute walk to a rapibus terminal (40 minutes STO to Ottawa University). The month to month room has free wifi and comes with a queen size bed, 6 drawer dresser, full length mirror, small desk and office chair, south facing large window (with hanging plants), decorated in fresh colour’s with a bohemian vibe (but i have other options). Its a quaint east coast style dwelling. So, shared bathroom, fridge, and a laundry available (basement). Two rental bedrooms upstairs. They each have locking doors.
About the roomies
Homeowner is an English speaking government worker with 2 sweet chihuahuas. I work from home 1 day a week and usually out of town every other weekend (with the chis). I am an empty nester/divorcee in my 50s who is catching up on life. I am 420 friendly, I swear when necessary, love fashion, and I scroll social media for too long into the night. Presently, the other female housemate is a young English speaking, remote worker who’s been here a year. She’s far from her family but is an intelligent, independent and brave young woman. We are a different stages of life but get along very well. Im young at heart and she is very wise. I feel a maternal instinct but we are also on the same wavelength. If you are seeking a safe and warm space to stay during this stage in your life then you ate welcome here for a short time or a long time. Whatever works for us. (Month to month).
