About the room

We are renting a single room on the ground floor of our beautiful three level townhouse. This home is situated on the Fraser River overlooking downtown New Westminster. Next to the house is a beautiful walking/hiking trail along the Fraser River. There is also a small boat that leaves the dock every 30 min and arrives on the New West Quay in under 5 min (big commute time saver). This is ideal for a Douglas College student or a working professional that works in New West. Furthermore, the bus stop is a 1 min walk from the house where you can take a short 5-10 min bus ride to the 22nd st skytrain station. We are located within a very short distance to the 805 Boyd Street, SmartCentres Queensborough Landing shopping complex which includes everything you need and more: a Walmart, Shoppers drug mart, restaurants, shopping and more. There is also a public library, multiple parks, gym, cafe’s, gas station, convenient store etc within a short distance of the home.

Our ideal tenant is a student or working professional who is quiet and clean (No drugs, alcohol, or pets). The room also comes with a private full bathroom. A built in TV with Netflix included. There is ample storage space, fresh air, a large window where the beautiful sun comes through in the morning. There is a lot of privacy as the room is on the main floor next to the outside door of the home. We also offer free garage and street parking. Electricity, hot water, and utilities are included. This house is a show home and it’s only 4 years old. We are the very first owners.

We are also willing to negotiate certain aspects of the listing. For example, my mother is a wonderful cook and is willing to provide dinners if that is something the tenant is wanting. We can negotiate the rent depending on what things are included and excluded.

About the roomies

We are a family of 5. All of the remaining rooms in the home are on the third floor. So the room being rented out specifically in this listing is on the first level, all on its own. It’s right next to the outside door so you can come and go discretely and there is a lot of privacy. The bathroom is your own private bathroom, with a full shower.
