We’re looking to rent out a room in our gorgeous 4-bed, 1-bath character apartment right beside the canal in Old Ottawa East. Two of our current roommates are unfortunately leaving the nest, and while we’re sad to see them go, we’re excited to see what new people will do to the rooms!
The room is an interior room with a window, walk in closet, and lots of built-in funky storage!
About the home:
The property is an approximately 1300 sq. ft apartment within a three-unit house where the landlords live on the bottom floor and another tenant occupies the attic above There is a spacious balcony facing the canal with chairs and a couch The shared spaces (living room, dining room) are all fully-furnished, and the kitchen has various appliances (blender, toaster, oven)/cookware (plates, pots, pans) we all share Parking is available for $75/month, and bike storage is free There is extra basement storage for your other belongings at no cost Before you send a message, please read the following:
This post is for the smaller room; there is another, larger room available–please check my other post. While there is a possibility of extension, we’re primarily looking for those comfortable with a shorter, four-month initial stay (e.g., exchange students) Utilities (incl. high-speed internet) are extra and fluctuate depending on the season, but average out to be about $100/month As we already have a cat, we’re unable to accommodate more pets If you’re interested in living with us, shoot me a message telling me a little about you, including what you do (work/school/etc.), your hobbies/interests, and what your typical weekend looks like.
About us: Grayson works for a non-profit, primarily from home, but is always out and about playing sports, rock climbing, or going camping.
Josh (me) works for the federal government in-office, and when he’s not at work he’s probably reading, playing Pokémon, or on a weekend trip somewhere.
Otter (Grayson’s cat) is a kind, playful, and mischievous orange tabby that will grow on you very, very quickly despite his many antics.
