Are you passionate about community living, sustainability, and personal growth? The Sophia Sound Community has a room available September 1st for a like-minded individual to join our co-living space.

We are a hub for music and soundwork in Calgary. Established more than three years ago, our open hearted space builds meaningful connections and life-long friendships. We host beautiful heart-centred events, gatherings, ceremonies and workshops on a monthly basis. In total, four people can live here long term. There are two cats, Cosmos and Ren, whom are pretty amazing friends and love cuddles!

The right fit for our community:

-Has their own meditation practice -Loves music and soundwork -Has a purposeful long-term profession outside of the home -Has developed skill in honest communication -Enjoys contributing to shared duties as well as honouring housemates solo time

This space is not for you if you:

-Don’t have a stable job -Work solely from home -Don’t enjoy engaging in shared responsibilities -Have a pet

We are located in Cedarbrae, SW Calgary: 25 minutes via car or 45 minutes on transit to downtown Calgary. 45 minutes via car from the airport. 20 minute walk or 5 min bus ride to a grocery store. 10 min walk to nature trails and to Glenmore Reservoir.

The rent is $850 including utilities. $850 damage deposit. We will ask for a sublet-agreement to be signed as a part of our procedure with new tenants. Street parking is available in front of the house.

Three of us have lived here for between 2 and 6 years and are dear friends. We are social but also take time to ourselves. We regularly meet once a month to discuss any challenges, cleaning or just catching up that we call “heart circle” so we can prevent resentments and keep the atmosphere positive.
