One person: $1,300/month Couple: $1,470/month total Security deposit: $650 Utilities + internet: additional
For one housemate, utilities and internet are shared between the two household occupants. If a couple moves in, the applicable household share is divided among the three occupants.
Pets

Sorry, no additional pets allowed.
Household Fit
I’m looking for someone who is clean, considerate, responsible, and easy to share a home with.
Occasional guests are absolutely fine, but this is a shared home rather than a party house. Everyone is expected to contribute fairly to keeping the common areas clean and comfortable and to respect each other’s privacy.
Just as importantly, I’m hoping to find someone who is a good fit for the household and who is genuinely looking for a place to call home for at least the next year.
If you’re interested, please send me a little about yourself: what you do, how long you’ve been in Nelson, your plans for the coming year, whether you’re applying as an individual or couple, whether you have a vehicle, and anything else you’d like me to know.
Available September 1, 2026.
About the roomies
Hi! I’m Apple. I work at the Kootenay Co-op and also do graphic design, so my weeks are usually a mix of work, creative projects, and quieter time at home. Some of my workdays start pretty early, so the house tends to have a fairly calm rhythm, especially in the evenings.
At home, I’m friendly and social, but I also really value having my own space. I’d love to live with someone I can comfortably chat with in the kitchen, occasionally share a meal with, or hang out with from time to time, without feeling like we always have to socialize. I enjoy cooking, creative projects, spending time outdoors, and generally making the house feel cozy and lived-in.
I like common areas to stay reasonably clean and organized, but I’m not looking for a showroom-perfect household. I care more about everyone cleaning up after themselves, communicating when something comes up, and being considerate of the people they share the space with.
There are also two friendly small dogs, Beans and Frankie, who regularly stay at the house, so you’ll definitely need to be comfortable having dogs around.
Overall, I’m hoping to find someone (or a couple) who is kind, responsible, communicative, and easy to live with. It would be great to have a friendly household where everyone can feel at home, enjoy each other’s company when it happens naturally, and still have plenty of independence and privacy.
