hii!! one of our roommates is moving out at the end of August so we’re looking for someone to take over their room :p

We’re located close to Commercial Drive (like a 5 min walk) and pretty close to the 9, 99 and 22 bus routes too!

We’re ideally looking for another queer/trans/female person who’s respectful of boundaries and wants a chill, comfortable home environment.

Rent is $1250/month including utilities!

The apartment is upstairs and gets a lot of natural light through the shared area, which is the living room and kitchen. We have a dishwasher + in-unit laundry, and the kitchen floors are heated in the winter! Also great if you’re a plant person because we have a bunch of plants around the place 🌱

I’m hoping to bring my cat here this fall as well! If you have a pet, I’d still advise you to speak with the landlord first. No dogs are allowed, but our landlord is pretty hands-off and very understanding if you’re planning on bringing a smaller pet.🐱

We’re pretty chill about most things as long as you generally keep things not too loud or messy. We bring friends over sometimes too, so we’re definitely not expecting the place to be completely silent or anything, though we’d appreciate it if you just let us know beforehand :)

The room comes furnished with a bed, desk, and shelf, and you’d also have your own private bathroom with a sink and toilet!! The shower is in a separate shared bathroom with us.

And I’m sorry to say but no smoking in the house 😭 As a smoker myself, the place is just not really big enough to smoke inside, so you’d have to go outside to smoke. We’re not bothered if you’re a smoker though, just please don’t smoke inside!

You’d be living with 2 other people, both ECUAD art students — one in animation (me! I’m in my last year) and one in illustration (she’ll be finishing her studies this year as well!). We’re both in our 20s, and we really value open communication, keeping the shared spaces clean, and just making the apartment feel like a nice place to come home to.
