About the property: This is a beautiful, newer upscale home with modern finishes throughout, located in a quiet and desirable neighbourhood. The home is spacious, bright and very well cared for, and I take a lot of pride in keeping it that way.

The room is located in the fully finished basement, which feels more like its own living space than a traditional room rental. You’ll have a large private bedroom, a beautiful separate living area, and a nearly full kitchen with a full-size fridge, sink, microwave, plenty of cabinetry and counter space, everything you need for day-to-day use other than a stove. All you would need is a bed for the room, I can also put a new bed in the room if needed.

The basement is spacious, comfortable and nicely finished, giving you a great balance of privacy and having the benefits of a beautiful home. There’s plenty of room to relax and make the space feel like your own without being limited to just your bedroom.

The rest of the house is equally spacious and welcoming, and I’m happy for the right person to feel at home here rather than feel like they’re simply renting a room.

It would be a great fit for a professional looking for something a little nicer than the typical rental, a clean, peaceful, high-quality place that genuinely feels like home.

A little about me: I’m a 41-year-old professional working in the energy industry in a senior operations role. I work a 7-on/7-off schedule, so I’m away for a full week at a time and then home for a week.

I’m easygoing, friendly and independent. I spend a lot of time at the gym, enjoy travelling and like having a clean, relaxed home. I’m respectful of privacy and personal space, but I’m also social and enjoy a good conversation. I don’t smoke or drink and it’s just me as my partner lives in Australia.

I’d ideally like to find someone with a similar easygoing personality who is clean, respectful and comfortable sharing a home. You’d have plenty of your own space and privacy downstairs, while still being part of a relaxed and welcoming household.

For me, finding the right fit is much more important than simply filling the room.
