About the room
Looking for a female roommate to join me on a long-term lease in my new bright 2bd basement suite (6 steps down into suite) in Hastings-Sunrise (Dundas & Kaslo) for Sept 1st ☀️🤍 - this is also an LGBTQ+ friendly space
Rent is $2200 ($1100 per person), includes all utilities (internet, hydro, fortis). At the moment, I’m still getting common area furniture together, but kitchen has all the dishes, utensils, and cooking necessities! Steps from express busses to SFU and downtown. Lots of Lime scooters & bikeways.
This is a brand new build, so no one has lived in the space prior, and it’s stocked with in-suite laundry, dishwasher, and a gas stove/oven! Ceilings are 8ft tall, so it feels extra spacious for a basement suite!
What I’m looking for in a roommate - someone looking to join a long-term lease, non-smoking, and non-partying. Someone who can provide proof of income, and two previous landlord references. Someone who works full-time/professional, quiet and clean. Someone who is friendly, communicates well and may even be up for a weekend coffee hang :)
Ideally this person should be comfortable with animals and know the importance of respecting them/that this is also their home (not bringing parties back to the house/being excessively loud or messy).
If it sounds like we might be a good fit, please respond with a DETAILED message telling me a bit about yourself, what you do in your free time, what you do for work, and why you’re leaving your current housing situation.
Look forward to hearing from you! 😊
About the roomies
A bit about me - I’m a 33yr old queer woman, born and raised in Vancouver, and currently work for Vancouver Coastal Health for a Community Mental Health team in the West End. I’m also a student at SFU working towards my masters in Counselling Psychology. Im super active (gym, trail running, paddle boarding, biking), definitely a morning person (don’t worry im quiet if you’re not), and do not party or drink. On my days off, I’ll be outside, catching up with friends for a coffee or studying/reading in the sunshine ☀️ I’m both quiet and tidy, it’s important to me having a clean space but I don’t mind if dishes are in the sink for a day.
I also have two outdoor cats - Jake and Neytiri - they’re both 11yrs old, are super friendly, and very well trained (no going on human surfaces). This unfortunately means we cannot accommodate any additional pets.
