Hi all!

My name is Brit (she/they). I am a 32 year old teacher and server. I am looking for a roommate in my sweet little 2 bedroom apartment in Hintonburg for November 1, 2026!

The apartment is located in central Hintonburg close to Tunney’s Pasture and many bus routes. The apartment is on a quiet one way street next to a park. The apartment is on the top level of a single family home. Sadly, the entrance to this apartment is up a flight of stairs, and is therefore not accessible.

Your bedroom is located off the kitchen in the back half of the apartment. The room is very large with a large window. The closet is strange: small entrance, but very deep. Enough to add shelves and make it a walk in if you wanted, or use it for extra storage. I also purchased a black metal clothing rack (as seen in pictures) that my previous roommate has been using. I can leave this if you’d like!

The price of the room is $823.50 and it will increase the annual legal limit in the new year. You will pay 50% of utilities (Internet and Hydro). Your share of the internet would be $34 a month. Hydro ranges from $80-$100 in the summer with AC, and between $150-$300 total with heat. These numbers represent a total bill; you would only pay half of this cost. This is an old house, hence the high cost of hydro. I try to keep the hydro low as much as possible by doing laundry on off peak hours, etc. Without being mindful, hydro costs can lean toward the higher end. I am looking for someone who is also looking to be mindful of minimizing the hydro bill to keep costs low.

Please note: My roommate currently has a file for tenant insurance, but with her moving that will change. We will need to find another company, which will increase the total monthly expenses slightly. We can find the cheapest option together!
