The available furnished bedroom and private bathroom are in a 1500 sq ft, sunny, uncluttered and fully renovated home. It’s about 2 km south of the General Hospital, close to bus and the Canterbury Community Centre, pool, rink and adjacent shops with bakery, convenience store, shawarma, etc. Upstairs are two bedrooms and two bathrooms (mine and yours). The ground floor has living areas and a powder room, and there’s laundry in the basement. Gardens and mature trees front and back. Off street parking available with driveway cleaning service. Front porch snow clearing is a shared responsibility. The room is available immediately until April 30, 2027. Some extension may be possible. TBD.

You’ll be sharing with the owner (F, 60s). Over the years, I have shared with many people of all ages. Compatibility and generosity of spirit makes a good housemate. You may be wonderful, but if we’re not compatible, it won’t work. So tell me a bit about yourself and your habits. An ideal housemate is pleasant, neat, responsible and quiet, and has a job/studies take them out of the house most days. I’m mostly vegetarian, a morning person. No TV. Open windows more often than central A/C. Heating temps about 20 degrees. Careful water use. Minimal food waste. No heavy frying and only rare intensely aromatic cooking. No smoking, vaping, drugs, perfume, scented products, pets or children. Not suitable for couples. The home is clean and well maintained. Keeping it in this condition is a shared responsibility. No forced socializing but a friendly dynamic and occasional conversation an asset. I’m a busy, cheerful, balanced person. Hopefully you are too.
