Upscale shared living at Mellem Ville-Marie in a spacious, modern apartment of approximately 1,100 sq. ft., shared by only two residents. The apartment has three bedrooms, with the third used as my separate home office, offering considerably more space, privacy and calm than a typical shared apartment.

The available private bedroom is offered unfurnished. The bathroom is shared with only one other person, and all common areas are fully furnished and thoughtfully maintained. The apartment includes a large living and dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, in-unit laundry and an impressive private terrace of approximately 300 sq. ft.—a substantial extension of the living space during the warmer months.

The monthly rent is $1,600, all-inclusive, including electricity, heating, air conditioning and high-speed internet. The building is recent, well constructed and notably quiet, with good soundproofing between units.

In addition to the apartment’s large private terrace, residents have access to the shared rooftop terrace, where BBQs are permitted. BBQs are not permitted on the private terrace.

The property is located in Ville-Marie, approximately an eight-minute walk from Frontenac metro station. The Green Line provides direct access to downtown, with Berri-UQAM only three stops away. The shops, cafés, restaurants, grocery stores and everyday services along Ontario Street East are also within easy walking distance.

Street parking may be available through the City of Montréal’s residential permit program, subject to eligibility. Indoor parking can also be rented separately in the building for approximately $230 per month, subject to availability.

This is an excellent option for a professional, someone relocating to Montréal, a financially established graduate student, or anyone seeking a comfortable pied-à-terre with more space and privacy than conventional shared housing.

Available November 1, 2026. The initial term would run through June 30, 2027, with the possibility of continuing afterward, subject to the arrangements approved by Mellem.

The room is offered unfurnished. However, some of the furniture currently in the room may be available for purchase from the departing roommate, offering the option of an easy and convenient move-in.

I am a professional in my 40s working in real estate, marketing and project operations. I regularly work from home from a separate office, so I value a calm and respectful atmosphere during the day.

I am friendly and sociable and enjoy good conversation, an occasional dinner or outing, and having friends over from time to time. At the same time, I respect personal space and independence and am looking for someone who does the same. My partner visits periodically, and the home is LGBTQ+ friendly.

Cleanliness is very important to me. The apartment is consistently clean and well maintained, and I am looking for someone with similar habits—someone who naturally cleans up after cooking, keeps counters and shared spaces tidy, participates equally in household tasks and does not need to be reminded about everyday responsibilities.

This is a welcoming home, but not a party apartment. Occasional guests, dinners and social evenings are perfectly fine when handled respectfully.

The best fit would be a financially stable professional or mature graduate student who is clean, considerate, reliable and comfortable living in a calm adult household. I would also appreciate someone who is friendly enough to share an occasional meal or activity while maintaining an independent life.

Because compatibility is important, I would prefer to begin with a conversation or video call, followed by an in-person visit. Any prospective roommate will also need to complete the usual financial, credit and reference screening and satisfy Mellem’s documentation and approval requirements.
