This is a very unique unit that has more privacy than majority of the other rooms in a shared house. This unit has its own private entrance and private kitchen in addition to being a private room. Everything is fully furnished. The full washroom with bathtub is just outside of the bedroom and it is shared with only one other roommate. The house has 4 rooms in total including your room. The other three rooms have a shared kitchen. In the house there are two full bathrooms, so only two roommates per bathroom. It has a large livingroom in which we exercise, large back patio and front balcony. Has back and front yard. Big TV and video games, board games, and a piano to be used by everyone. It has free laundry and dryer just outside of your unit. All utilities are included. The location is really convenient in walking distance to the Nanaimo skytrain station and super close to bus 20. It is super close to Trout Lake and Trout lake community center with gym and skating. Close to Commercial Dr that offers all the restaurants and small groceries. Close to TNT on Kingsway and Famous Foods. It has a portable AC.

There are only 3 other working roommates beside yourself, in their 30s. Very friendly and kind. One works from home as a software dev. The others are on a work holiday visas. One is from Australia and the other from the USA. The house is not a big party scene, but smaller gatherings and friends are always welcome. The other roommates are sociable and helpful and they can engage in social activities with the other roommates or allow your private time as you need it. The atmosphere feels very welcoming and trustworthy. Roommates feel welcomed and relaxed and feel they can have the help of the others if needed. There is no particular schedule for chores, but everyone acts very maturely and cleans when the common area need cleaning.
