Large and private furnished basement space for rent in a lovely quiet neighbourhood in the Woodland Park/ Albro Lake area of Dartmouth featuring:

• extra large bedroom with 3 large egress windows (bedroom is large enough for an office space).
• living room with projector
• full bathroom

**** Important Notes****

• Kitchen on upstairs floor, laundry room + utility room in basement are all SHARED. The basement is not a separate suite (though there is a door between upstairs and downstairs),however it is pretty private. I only go downstairs as needed for laundry/maintenance.
• Pets would be considered on a case by case basis because I have a cat who thinks he is king of the world. He does like some other cats but a meeting would definitely be required. Unfortunately he despises dogs and even bullies my joint custody dog.
• The house has a large backyard filled with vegetable beds and flowers. If you like gardening I’d be happy to share a garden plot.

Location info:

• Neighborhood is residential and mostly made up of young families and older folks. There is the odd student house here and there. It’s very quiet most of the time.
• It’s located quick walking/biking distance to bus routes, grocery store, pharmacy, cafes, lakes, golf course. If you’re up for longer walks (20-30 mins) - downtown Dartmouth, Dartmouth waterfront, and the Halifax ferry are within reach.
• Close to many highways! Super convenient for getting out of the city and going to the beaches on the Eastern Shore.
• free street parking, 1 parking space available in driveway for winter parking ban (but this will require ++ communication because it’s a single lane driveway)

About me (homeowner):

• I’m a woman in my early 30s. I’m a healthcare professional who loves my cat to pieces. I also like gardening, hiking, crafting, pottery, and dancing.

• I am a quiet and friendly person and see my house as a sanctuary/gently social place.
• I am looking for someone who is looking for a quiet, safe and respectful household.
• I value direct communication when it comes to managing a shared home and when conflict arises. I am not at all into passive aggression/avoidance. I like to have calm and frank conversations about what’s working/not working and I hope to find someone who feels the same!
• very occasionally I have friends/loved ones over for social visits (dinner partie, movies, games nights), but any extended/frequent stays would be something to discuss between us.
• I like to keep shared spaces very tidy (e.g., kitchen and laundry room). Cleanliness and lack of clutter in these spaces are important to me. Your private space is your private space as long as it’s not impacting the general hygiene of the home (eg smells, rodents, etc).
