So here’s the deal…. We’re looking to share our home with another Employed, mature (30+) female

Why you ask?

While being a roommate/having a roommate can sometimes be like a toothpaste filled cinnamon Timbit…tastes good at first bite, before reality hits making you gag and projectile vomit all over your favourite fuzzy house slippers, with an aftertaste that lingers for years…we aren’t those timbits

For 2 people our house is huge, for 2 people with 2 dogs and a cat? Still pretty big, but seriously, we dont use nearly half of it, its a wasted space that could be brought to life, and its a GREAT space!

We’re genuine, authentic, positive, friendly, honest, and (maybe) pretty cool people, and are looking for the same.

We dont care about your politics, or your religion (we’re spiritual, not religious), we care about personality, who you are as a person, that youre honest, have integrity, treat people with kindness,….the type of person who picks up their dog poop, and puts it into the trash, or maybe into their pocket, whatever, we dont judge!

As far as guests are concerned, we only allow solid, good people into our lives, and would expect the same discernment from our future roommate. We’ve been renters in the past, and KNOW FIRST HAND how impossibly hard it can be to have both a great place to live AND a pet, thats why we’re allowing pets (considered, not a blanket any and all pets, we have our limits 😆)

We have way more space than we need or use in our Okanagan Falls home and are looking for a compatible person to share it with.

We are a stable, easy-going GenX married couple in our early 50s— I’m a contractor and she is a semi-retired home-maker—seeking a mature (30+), employed female who values a safe, secure, and drama-free environment.

We’re NOT looking for a captive friend, or any other sketchy/weird dynamic….simply someone to appreciate and enjoy the space while helping offset the expenses of our home and property.

As my wife spends more time at home than me, she is far more comfortable sharing our space with another like minded female, its as simple and as complicated as that.

You would have your own Private entrance to the lower level through Fench Doors off the lower gated 360sq’ patio (yours to decorate), a massive 260sq’ private room with sliding door to the outdoors, and semi private ( exclusive) use of the 400sq’ adjacent livingroom with the French Doors.

Separate and exclusive full size refrigerator, and pantry downstairs - no more “who ate my yogurt again” mysteries to be solved!

Upstairs is the shared Kitchen and main bathroom. The bathroom would be yours to use exclusively.

Living the South Okanagan lifestyle, backed onto Vaseux Lake Bird Sanctuary, you’ll be treated to regular sightings of many varieties of birds, Owls, deer, black bears, coyotes, turtles, and other woodland creatures in the adjacent meadows.

You are welcome to use the hot (cold in summer) tub and patio, relax by the outdoor firepit, garden, or enjoy the seasonal fruits and Almond tree as well as fresh eggs from our chickens!

The property is private, gated and very secure, located just a 90 second drive from both Skaha and Vaseux Lakes, Grocery Store, and gas staions and about 18 minutes from both Penticton and Oliver. Because of the lack of public transit, having your own vehicle is a must, and you’ll have a safe and secure parking spot right inside the gates (No more waking up to find your windows broken and your fuzzy dice missing from the rear view mirror!)

We share our home with the actual owners of the property (in their minds)

​Our 170lb Livestock Guardian Dog is the boss. We also have a Female Caucasian Shepherd ( supervisor in training) and a cat who thinks he’s in charge of keeping everyone nimble on their feet. You have to be a “large dog person.” Not a “I like Labradors” person, but a “I’m okay with a dog that weighs more than a professional wrestler” person!

Our LGD is a playful Intact Dominant breed (Boss man), we would be open to considering an additional well behaved Spayed/Neutered non-dominant Dog, indoor cat, or toy breed dog

We maintain a peaceful?, chill household and are looking for someone who fits that vibe. While we don’t drink, we don’t mind a social drinker, and any tobacco or 420 use stays strictly outdoors. This is a respectful, centered home, so we are looking for someone who avoids high-conflict dynamics, politics, and contention and just wants a beautiful, safe place to call home.

To ensure everyone’s peace of mind, we do require proof of employment, solid character references, and a criminal background check.

The space is currently available from December 1st (possibly sooner), but we aren’t in any rush and would be willing to move dates for the right fit, as compatibility is the most important factor.
