Looking for a female housemate to join me and one other housemate in an old, but well-maintained house in the West End of Halifax. Shared spaces are large and furnished. Features include a washer and dryer, back deck, and a fenced backyard with a shed perfect for storing bikes. No driveway, but street parking is nearby.

WHAT’S AVAILABLE: Large (11x16) unfurnished room on the 1st floor with private half-bath.

WHO LIVES HERE: I’m a multidisciplinary artist in my 30s and the other housemate is a PhD student in her early 40s. We’re easygoing, friendly, and clean, and we care a lot about maintaining a nice home environment!

IDEAL HOUSEMATE: Female, non-smoking working professional in their mid/late 20s or older. I’m looking for responsible housemates who are friendly, quiet, and considerate, and who ideally see their home as a restful haven (this is definitely not a party house). Must be tidy and leave shared spaces clean after using them. Also must be comfortable with friendly dogs as I have a sweet, silly (non- shedding) terrier, who is here occasionally.

THE TERMS: Available for a 8-month or one-year fixed term lease (and potential to renew). Start date is January 1st. References and security deposit will be required. Water and internet included. Electricity is split between the three of us.
