About the room
Update: This bedroom and bathroom is available as long as this listing is up. It is furnished with a desk, chair, blankets, pillows, and a futon (refer to pictures). The futon can be unfolded for sleeping and refolded into a couch if you need more space, or you can buy your own bed. Utilities are included.
(Note: LGBTQ+ friendly means your sexuality/gender is of no concern to me. Cannabis friendly means I don’t smoke cannabis, but you can smoke outside in the backyard.)
Anyways:
I own the house. I am looking for lodgers/roommates. Since I live there too, I would be the live in landlord/roommate.
The house is a duplex. Street parking is available.
First floor: One shared kitchen, one shared living room, shared laundry room, and a full bathroom.
Second floor: Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms.
Everyone in the household including me have our own bedroom and bathroom.
Master bedroom en suite bathroom has a tub.
The bedroom for rent in this listing is the second floor bedroom for 1080/month. It is about 145 ft squared (21.5 m squared) including the bathroom on the first floor.
Utilities included (hydro, natural gas for hot water, and unlimited optic fibre internet).
All bedroom doors have lockable key knobs. This bedroom door also has a one way lock on the door from the inside.
Small backyard. Property is fenced.
First floor is about 745 ft squared (69 m squared). 606 ft squared (56 m squared) for second floor. Including the backyard, shed, and garage, the total should be about 1400 ft squared (130 m squared).
The bedrooms and bathrooms that goes with the bedrooms for rent are furnished. There is also a closet.
The rest of the house is furnished, because I live there.
Neighbour’s duplex house is connected to my west wall. Entrance is on north wall. Patio door on east wall. South wall is an alley way where my neighbour walks through to get to their garage.

If interested, I plan, in order to:
- Chat a bit.
- Do screening questions (references, allergies, concerns, questions for me you may have, etc.). The questionnaire is on Google docs, which I can share with you.
- Do video call for a virtual tour or do a live tour of my property. Do Q/A.
- Show and go over agreement papers. Make any changes if necessary to meet what the lodger(s) thinks is more fair. I am telling you now that the agreement paper is long because of my past experiences.
- Sign papers and receive deposit to reserve the room.
- Lodger moves in on agreed upon date. I will help with the receiving of furniture if necessary.
Thank you for reading.
About the roomies
Landlord: Born and raised in Vancouver. CBC first generation.
My personality is INTJ. Less so when it comes to discussing boxing and how to make money.
I work at a food manufacturing plant full time with some side hustles on the side. Got to make that $$$.
I have been doing this renting bedrooms and bathrooms as a side hustle since Sept 2021. I have had several lodgers/roommates. 98% of the time, everything is good. The lodgers I have had so far were/are all interesting and they came from different backgrounds. Male, female, LGBTQ+, “hippy”, religious, student, worker, etc.
I am also a entrepreneur I guess. Here is what I have been working on:

- Maybe…you?
I got a mortgage on the house so I am not living there for “free” either.
Hobbies: Piano, boxing, reading, watching movies, hustling, etc.
What I am bad at: Skiing (can’t stop while in motion no matter how hard I try), parallel parking, going up steps (don’t ask me to go to Grouse Grind or the Chief with you).
Dislikes: Durian (yuck), stinky tofu (yuck), blue cheese (yuck)
Likes: Money. Stocks. Boxing. Films.
Fernanda (the other roommate currently in the other bedroom):
