Room photos are quite outdated - we now have wood flooring throughout and all rooms have some upgrades Sorry the photos are subpar, the rooms are quite large and all have closets.

We have rooms available in our Pickering home. This is a three floor 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home, with a full kitchen, dining, and living space. Fenced yard and deck. Parking is available. Quiet street, backs onto a park and recreation centre with gym. Walking distance to GO station, grocery and restaurants, and the Pickering Town Center. 30-40min drive from downtown core. We might be able to accomodate pets - one very shy cat here.

The home is fully furnished apart from vacant bedrooms (furnished available if needed) but we can accommodate some of your own common-space furniture if necessary. Storage also available in basement.

Bathroom is partial-shared, we have our own ensuite bathroom and only use the main 3pc bathroom for the shower. There is a third 2pc bathroom also available.

All utilities included.

My partner Michael and I are laid back late-20s adults hoping to find likeminded roommates. He is a carpenter, musician, and gamer, fluent in Spanish. I am an E-commerce professional and artist with hobbies of plants, reptiles/aquariums (a snake lives here!), and cooking. I cook often and love cooking for others. While I prefer default low-key and quiet, still some balance for being lively. We like game nights, cool food, outdoors, or music. I’d say it’s ambiverted. We don’t really party, or drink much. We appreciate hosting holiday/birthday parties just a couple times a year.

We are generally quiet, but appreciate music while cooking, showering, or working in the yard. Noise and timing is always adaptable. We prefer to keep things very clean, and more importantly tidy, so I’d like folks who share that preference - but as I have health issues I occasionally need to put cleaning on ‘pause’ and need roommates without neurotic OCD for that. As such, I’ll also carry that flexibility. [We have had problematic roommates both in dirtiness and negligence, and some who required the home look like a showroom at all times.] I put a lot of effort into the home, maintenance, QOL upgrades, efficiency of the space.

We’ve rented here 6 years, this is our home; not so much a stopgap apartment. We are looking for individuals highly compatible with us and have had bad experiences, we’re extremely communicative and accomodating but have zero tolerance for pettiness, snarkiness, need folks who can handle conflict as adults! I value my home feeling restorative & secure, so we’re looking for people who share that 🤌

Cannabis friendly for those who aren’t 24/7 smokers and only outdoors. LGBTQ+ welcome space, we are progressive. “Offline leftist”. We prefer to share things, as I find this easier and less cluttered for the house, I don’t mind providing a lot of things as long as they’re replaced and roommates give back the same energy.
