Funky 1970s log house on 2 acres in the sticks. There’s a 10’x12’ master bedroom on the main floor available November 2022 to mid-March 2023 and a 14’x15’ basement bedroom available mid-March onwards (or January onwards if you’d prefer… it’s big, but further from the bathroom and kitchen). Country living, but just a 10 minute drive into Quesnel. Pet-friendly provided they get along with the critters who live here. Open concept living space with lots of windows, gaming table for board games or TTRPGs, cozy wood stove, new washer & dryer, and a chicken coop.

I’m a teacher in my 30s and I just bought this house as my first home and then got a job out of town… oops! Rather than have it sit empty during the week (while I pay both a mortgage and rent), I thought why not find a roommate. I’m nerdy, queer, artistic, and enjoy trying to produce my own food (garden and chickens for eggs) and fixing up this old house. I don’t drink, smoke, or party, though I do enjoy hosting Dungeons & Dragons games and I’m a bit of a night owl (when I don’t need to be up early for work). Although I am vaccinated and careful, I do work as a teacher, but I’ll stay at the other place on the weekend if I’m ill. The non-human roommates include a 1 YO Dutch shepherd (my dad will be dog-sitting during the week, she’s not good yet with strangers), an older tiny dog (take with me), two cats (one may stay), a rat (with me), some fish, and chickens (the rooster is mean).
