Set up for an independent student looking for low-key studying space to enjoy while attending the fall school term/semester.

Private room and bath available for short term, month to month agreement to accommodate traveling students. The room is equipped with an XL closet and furnished with a queen bed, side table/shelves, and desk. Kitchen supplies and towels/linens are there for you to utilize (you’re responsible for own food/pantry items).

The space is a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom home I share with my cat, Paddy! Open plan living/dining and kitchen with small furnished deck to enjoy the view of Nanaimo’s south harbour. The strata complex is in a quiet area, well landscaped and close to both Port place mall and South gate mall. 10 min drive to VIU. Single Bus route with bus stop 5 min walk from door. **I have been told by other roommates its not the most convenient bus system, however, it is an option. There is a single driveway for parking and could be a possibility with some coordination - visitor parking is limited. I have lent my street bike to a couple students is the past but be prepared, as I have been told it is quite the workout to bike to VIU (lots of hills).

With some building updates slowly taking place and hopes to find a cat lover willing to lend a hand with my cuddly kitty, I am open to discussing rent budgets for the right fit.

I enjoy the mellow atmosphere my strata complex projects (this is a bit of an older strata). I work Mon-Fri and will often be out with friends and away on weekends. I’d describe myself more on the introverted scale, but do have a social side and like a balance. I respect the shared space and keep it tidy/clean and seek similar personalities so we can both relax.
