-corner unit, only hear neighbours in hallway from livingroom or upstairs neighbours about once a month

-utilities included except internet.

-6 min walk from the river and 6 min walk from 7th and 8th Street train stations (red and blue lines, both directions)

-the block is a bit dead aside from rush hour traffic. 10-15 minute walks to kensington or 17th.

-The property manager is decent and nice.

-You will get the smaller bedroom(9.5x10ft) Non furnished

-Large living room, sectional (scratched) pullout couch, small shared bookshelf, cat tree

-Large balcony with a small patio table and some plants

-Small kitchen. I plan to buy a pantry to free up the cupboard space.

-No microwave. You can bring one with a table to put it on if you want.

-lease is until June 2025 for $1500

-parking space is an extra $50-$100/month i think

Cons:

-old appliances (work well still)

-ants in kitchen occasionally

-saw a cockroach once, never saw one again though

-outlets are loose, so sometimes you have to use tape to hold stuff in.

-my cat begs for food sometimes, I’m working on it

-intercom buzzing system only allows for 1 number per unit (mine)

-1 mail key, you can make a copy if you want

-cat litter in storage room by entrance

-my cat is a scratching fiend and the best solution to make sure furniture is protected is to put anti scratch covers on it. Or you can just be fine with my furniture in the living room

-coinmatic laundry room, machines are frequently down for maintenance

-bedroom runs warm sometimes

-no bedroom light so you have to bring a lamp or fairylights to plug into the outlet the light switch turns on

-no TV

I have just graduated uofc and tutor math now while I look for a job in my field downtown. I am looking for another woman between 21-26 that is decently tidy. I typically try to get dishes done right away and within 24 hours at the most, wipe counters of crumbs after use, and clean common areas biweekly-monthly and looking for someone that is on par with that.

I am fairly introverted and can make small talk and be friends with you, but also need some alone time. I spend most of my time in my room watching TV or crocheting/painting/reading etc.

I smoke weed on the balcony about 2-3 times a month. I only have people visit about 1-2 times a month.

My cat is extremely sweet and affectionate. He pretty much never jumps on counters or tables. He will chew plants that are within his reach. I have plant shelves with some space to share. He can be in the way in the kitchen sometimes and scream for food and will occasionally vomit when he eats too fast. He is doing better now that I am keeping him on a better feeding schedule. He also can be a messy eating and cause some crumbs around his bowl I will clean up regularly. He does best being the only cat and has never really been able to be friends with another cat before, so I am looking for someone who likes cats, but doesn’t have one of their own to bring.
