Brenna's room

I am looking for a roommate for two-bedroom apartment located in Kensington, as my current roommate is moving back to the States to do her Masters. The apartment is located right beside the Sunnyside c-train station (Roomies can’t find the address so the pin is dropped further away). It’s a concrete building and the apartment was recently renovated to have laminate floors (no beige carpet) and fresh paint. It is clean and comfortable with a reasonably large living room, lots of storage, a deck, and natural light. I have it mostly furnished for the living room and kitchen, but there is definitely room for any furniture or things you may have. The bedroom can be unfurnished or there is the option to buy the furnishings my roommate bought six-months ago for her room if that is of interest. All utilities are included in the rental price, there is coin-laundry in the building, and parking available for $100/month.

Hello! A bit about me - I am from the west coast and moved to Calgary to do my MSc in Evolutionary Biology at the University of Calgary with the intention of staying here for two years. Seven years later, I am finishing up a PhD and have kind of fallen in love with Calgary and how accessible the mountains are.

I like to think I am easy to be around and enjoy humour, deep conversations, cooking, reading and podcasts (in no particular order of importance). I love to be outdoors - mountain biking, trail running, backcountry skiing etc. My space is important to me and I like to keep it clean and tidy. I might have a few people over from time to time for dinner and/or the like but mostly leave the house for social activities. I spend a large amount of my time at my girlfriend’s house so you will often have the apartment to yourself.

I am looking for a roommate that is a young professional and/or a fellow graduate student. Ideally, I would love to have a situation where we can do our own things but get together for a shared dinner, hang out, gather with friends etc. every now and again!
