Looking for one roommate to share a lovely, spacious, two bedroom, two bathroom, two level home in a fabulous, quiet, central Kitsilano location, a short walk to almost anything you could ever need. Four blocks or less to the UBC B-line, other bus lines on Broadway, 4th Ave, Arbutus, and Macdonald St., and only a ten minute walk to Kits Beach. The place is light and bright, with high ceilings and lots of windows. We have a sunny, south facing balcony, as well as access to a garden patio with BBQ.

Your share of the rent would be $1800/mo, plus 1/2 the utilities, including heat, water, hot water, electricity, high speed fibre internet. The room is furnished with a queen bed, bedside table, dresser, and a full sized closet. May be unfurnished by request, with a long-term commitment. The den could be available for occasional home office use, if desired.

The open living space is nicely furnished, including a full kitchen with granite countertops, dishwasher, small dining table, flatscreen TV, and comfy couch. Heated tile flooring, nice carpets, well kept building and grounds. 2 full bathrooms. Ensuite washer and dryer.

Move in date can be flexible (from Aug 30). One year commitment preferred.

Open to a small, well behaved and non-shedding/hypoallergenic dog, but no cats or other pets allowed.

The ideal housemate would be very clean and responsible, a working professional or grad student, who values a clean and calm living environment, and is happy to contribute to the upkeep of our shared home, with weekly cleaning, as well as tidying up after themselves daily in the kitchen and common areas. We also split the cost of a cleaner 1x/month for deep cleaning.

Female preferred, and fairly cautious as far as covid/virus risk–fully vaccinated, and taking some health precautions, eg. masking in public places, avoiding crowded indoors environments. If you’re looking for a safe, friendly, and comfortable living situation, and up for communication involved with doing our best to keep each other healthy and safe :-). Looking for a roommate to have fun together as well–totally up for the occasional tea and chat, shared meal, movie or games night, or neighbourhood walk.

We try to be pretty quiet in the house between 11pm-8am.

Into: science, nature walks, working out, cycling, music, film & shows. LGBTQ+ friendly.

Not into: smoking, drugs, or partying in our home. It would be important to communicate in advance about having guests over.
