House with two living areas - room on ground floor is available. We live mostly upstairs. Bedroom furnished with twin bed, closet, bookshelf, desk and chair, and door to outside. Available Jan to May 2024 with possibility of extension longer term. Shared living area on ground floor is large and bright, and includes kitchen, living room, nook, piano, full bathroom, laundry room, mud room. Back patio and large private backyard. 2 minutes to beach. Nature all around. Non-smoking home. Located on Protection Island in Nanaimo harbour, a 10 min foot passenger ferry ride to downtown, and from there you are beside the bus loop. It is a 10 to 15 minute bus to VIU.

We are a queer couple in our 50s living mostly on upper floor. Room is on ground floor. Household will share use of lower floor; upper floor space is our private space. We love low tide walks and all things ocean, sailing, sunshine, making music, travel, art, yoga, reading, spending time with friends and family, social justice activism, and community contribution. We are generally pretty quiet and are looking for roommates that enjoy nature and the peace and quiet of island living. It would be a bonus if our roommate was into music too. Our young adult kids come visit every few months, as well as friends and other family from time to time.
