Me: I am a man in my early 40s working nearby as a Process Engineer. I’ve lived in shared houses for years and years, so lots of experience being a good roommate. I enjoy being sociable, going out for a beer a couple times a week. I also keep late hours, as I find those times the most relaxing and/or productive. It doesn’t make a difference to me if you’re a morning person or a night person, as long as you share the same respect for me in the night hours (when I’m often sleeping) as I do you. My girlfriend is essentially living here. We’re a friendly couple, so hopefully you’re someone who is comfortable with that. I do have my kids visit on the weekends when possible.

You: Fun, easy-going, but a responsible, working adult when you need to be. The perfect combination of normal and abnormal. Would love to congregate sometimes and small talk while we have a drink and surf the web. Please don’t be someone who stays cooped up in your room. I’d like you to become a friend.
