Sue's room

I live in Ladysmith, BC. I am looking for something a little different than straight rental. I have a large (12x17) lovely bedroom and new private bath on the ground floor that will be available April 1. It can be furnished or unfurnished. I will post pictures when the current occupant moves out March 31.

I have a 2400 square foot home with main living on second floor. Large living room, beautiful kitchen with high end appliances, den, dining room, bathroom and guest room plus my bedroom and ensuite on main. Available bedroom and bath on ground floor plus laundry, main entry and small office/storeroom. Off street parking in driveway. Huge nicely landscaped and fenced backyard. Home has new gas furnace, is air conditioned and has a generac backup system for power outages.

I would like to create a shared communal living arrangement with (preferably) another senior or in a pinch a senior couple. This means a situation where we share my home just like a family - sharing chores, yard work, meals (or at least dinner), having our private space if we want it but also having the communal option. It will have to be the right fit so we will need to be talking for a while before making any commitments.

A little information to save everyone some time. I have a large fluffy dog |(100 +) lb. Very friendly to other people and dogs but not cats. So although I would be open to a very well trained (no accidents in house ever) and socialized dog joining the household, no other pets please.

No smokers or vapers of any kind, no heavy drinkers and must be verging on OCD when it comes to cleanliness, tidiness and personal hygiene.

I am thinking $1000 per month which includes basic utilities and internet for a single, $1200 for a double. If you feel this might interest you, message me and we can begin to chat.
