Quebec Avenue
About the room
Hi! I am looking for a roommate to share my 2-bedroom apartment in High Park/Junction on Quebec Ave. It’s a quiet street, very close to great shops and restaurants on Dundas and Bloor West, and a ten-minute walk to High Park. The apartment is newly renovated, as on-site coin operated laundry, window unit AC, a big soaker tub, gas range, high ceilings, good natural light, and a shared outdoor space with lounge chairs and a dinning set. The apartment is fully furnished, but if you prefer to furnish the room yourself, I can just sell the furniture that is in it. There is a sun room/ work space that I am happy to coordinate co-working from if you work from home. It’s really a gem of an apartment.
Utilities are an additional 100 a month, they include hydro, internet, and renters insurance
About the roomies
I am a 35-year-old woman and PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto, seeking another person to share my apartment with. I have lived here for three and a half years, the last two with my roommate, who is moving out to move in with her boyfriend. But, I love roommate life! I enjoy cooking, yoga, gardening, and thrifting, but I also enjoy a night out. I love entertaining friends with dinner parties and wine nights. I am clean and organized. I value my quiet time at home, but ideally, I want a roommate who becomes a friend and who wants to share a bit of life together.
I have two cats who would also be your roommates, they are extremely cuddly and gentle senior cats. I vacuum regularly to keep the cat hair down and you won’t be covered in cat hair when you sit down.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, please send me a note introducing yourself! I would be interested to know why you are moving, what you do for work, and what your hobbies and interests are, and when your move in date would be. Eventually you will need all the standard rental things, i.e., proof on income, bank statements, credit check, and references, but we can save that for any second steps.
