About the room
Short-term only, by week ($400/wk) or month ($1,300/mo) until the end of March. May be able to extend to end of May.
This is a lived‑in home with a traveller/housemate vibe, sharing the space respectfully in an active household.
Large, bright furnished bedroom in a 3‑bed, 3‑bath townhouse available short‑term from now until March 31 (possible extension to end of May). Stays are 1 week minimum. All utilities, fast Wi‑Fi, regular cleaning, and household supplies are included, so you can just show up with a suitcase and settle in. The room has a comfortable bed, desk and chair, dresser/closet storage, and a private balcony nook with great natural light. You’ll share a bathroom with one other person, and have access to a well‑equipped kitchen, open‑plan living/dining area, and in‑unit laundry. Bed linens, pillows, duvet, and towels are provided, and the kitchen is stocked with basics (cookware, dishes, cleaning products), making it ideal for someone in between places, on contract in Toronto, or testing out the neighbourhood.
About the house / location
The townhouse is in a quiet pocket near Queen & River / Regent Park, close to streetcars, bike paths, and downtown amenities. It’s an easy commute to the core, with grocery stores, parks, and cafes within walking distance. The vibe is more “calm, functional home base” than party or guest house.
About the roomies
We are working professionals (1 female, 1 male) in our 30s–40s with fairly busy schedules. Weeknights are usually low‑key: cooking, watching something, or doing our own thing, and weekends are a mix of being out and relaxing at home. We’re friendly and open to a chat, but also respectful of personal space and quiet when people are working or resting.
Who this is for
This setup is for someone mature, easygoing, and respectful who enjoys the feel of staying in a real home rather than a hotel. You might be a traveller, contract worker, or person between leases who wants a comfortable home base and is happy to plug into an existing rhythm without expecting formal hosting or entertainment. You’re independent, clean up after yourself, and understand that living with others means a bit of everyday life happening around you.
House expectations / participation
Everyone participates actively in basic house management so the place runs smoothly. That means cleaning up after yourself right away in the kitchen (no dishes left out, counters wiped), keeping the common spaces tidy, and helping with simple shared tasks like taking out garbage/compost/recycling, unloading the dishwasher, and keeping shared areas orderly so the cleaner can focus on deeper cleans.
Good communication and consideration matter: if something’s off, just mention it so we can sort it out quickly.
House rules
Cleanliness and tidiness to the level of “my mom/important guest is coming over in 5 minutes, and I’m glad I don’t have to tidy up.” No cigarettes, but 420 friendly. This isn’t a crash pad or Airbnb, but a calm and friendly place that’s an awesome landing pad if you’re coming to Toronto for visit or more, or a great launchpad as you prepare to go.
If you tell me your situation, rough timing and accommodation needs we can discuss from there.
