Renting the quiet master bedroom in our home, looking for a fun, sociable, caring person who enjoys the easy conversations while resting & enjoying our eclectic art-den. Convenient, extra-central, and easy access of a fully furnished, comfortable townhouse only a few blocks away from EVERYTHING, but in a spot with tall trees, friendly neighbours, quiet nights and even more quiet mornings, you’ll have to see it to believe it, but this is the beautiful West End, we’re lucky to have this community and this setting right downtown, where the action is too!

The house:

We have a fully equipped kitchen with professional supplies, including a dishwasher…

ONE large updated bathroom with wifi-speaker and oversized evacuation fan, replaced all gfloors, without any carpet in the house.

There’s a clothes washer (free) in the house, high-speed wifi, tons of art, books, colour printer, fireplace, the works!

Your room is super cozy, comfortable, and decked out as well: goose-down bedding and all linens included, with a TV, sofa and desk in the very large & quiet interior bedroom.

The huge window overlooks the quiet tree-lined Jervis Street, very private compared to a glass tower.

This community is a rare gem and we know all our neighbours as family, there’s an organic garden, BBQ, patio furniture, beautiful & calm doggos, like a suburb just in the city.

The private backyard has a large covered deck to enjoy even on rainy days. Comes complete with hanging outdoor fire pit, bike storage, art or work out space, whatever you need, we have it or can facilitate. You’ll be right at home from the moment you arrive.

The XL livingroom has a real wood-burning fireplace, flatscreen TV, a day-bed and sofás.

The furniture is super cool, tons of art in the space, the lighting changes with your mood, it’s eclectic to say the least.

We’ve been here over a decade and we’re friends with all our neighbours so there’s always someone around to say hi if you’re social and want to hang out in the courtyard with the neighbours.

Forward, easygoing, and clean (the house comes with a Dyson vacuum and all cleaning products too).

We work away more than half the time, spend a lot of time outside with the two super relaxed neighbours’ huskies or skiing at Whistler, or working on the island, and you’re welcome to tag along when you can!

Preference given to a single person (would also consider a couple if it’s short-term),

Importantly, I’m hoping to find someone who doesn’t spend 100% of their time at home - sorry that means no work-from-home people or yet unemployed persons, just for stability and predictability in schedule…

Ideally looking for someone who isn’t a total hermit either, you’ve gotta like the occasional drop-in guest from our dog walker to the neighbour coming over to share some wine maybe.

The room costs 1750$/month and includes all bills (wifi, power, hot water, washing machine) OR 425$/week.

There is parking available which costs 100$/month, OR you get a city of Vancouver street parking permit. Weekly…

There is great bike storage here though, covered and lockable.

Two entrances at street level, no need to go through ten gates to get home, no elevators to deal with, and a super funky home await you.

We’re hoping to select someone who is already here but we can also consider you via FaceTime chat if you’re not arriving until End of the month.

No holds though, if you like it here you will have to leave a deposit (weekly: 1-weeks’ rent, OR monthly costs deposit of 1/2 months rent which is 875$ refundable after you move-out and clean the room and share cleaning of shared spaces, to the same degree of cleaning we enable your move-in to benefit from)

You must sign a proper sub-lease to agree to all the strata rules, this is a provincial standard.
