Mid-century modern (1950s) share house in south Nanaimo, walking distance (30 min) to VIU or Hullo fast-ferry to Vancouver. Giant yard with lots of opportunity for someone who likes gardening, in a neighbourhood that is all about urban farming, salmon stream restoration and permaculture. You will make many friends if you like that!
The house has had many upgrades and is very eco-friendly. It is a well-maintained heritage house with new windows, new insulation, new roof, new appliances, heat pump and air conditioning, and a good hot water tank. It has keypad locks, lots of parking, a huge fenced yard and huge storage space. the neighbourhood is family-friendly, and it’s easy to meet people.
Base rate for the room is $950. Utilities are $100/m or $200/m for couples (includes internet). The house and the room are furnished, for $50/m. Furniture in the room is able to be switched out.
