The room is spacious and has plenty of sunlight. The picture shows it in an unfurnished state, but it can be partially furnished at your request. This listing is for the medium-sized room, but a larger and a smaller room are both available at adjusted prices.

About Me

I’m a man in my late 30s with a special-needs rescue dog, a partially paralyzed Border Collie/German Shepherd mix.

I’m self-employed and work from home part-time, with a second job that takes me out of the house about 25 hours a week. I’m fairly introverted and generally keep to myself. I enjoy video games, card games, board games, superheroes, sci-fi, and other nerdy things. I rarely have guests over, so the household is generally quiet and predictable.

About the Dog

My dog is a partially paralyzed special-needs rescue with a difficult early history. He has anxiety and can be territorial and reactive around unfamiliar people and other dogs, particularly men. I manage his needs responsibly through established routines, medication when needed, and clear boundaries.

He may need some time to adjust to a new roommate, but I’m experienced in managing his needs and ensuring everyone feels safe and comfortable. Exposure to him would be limited, but nevertheless, prior experience with reactive dogs is a plus, though a genuine love of dogs and a willingness to respect his boundaries are just as important.

Rent and Room Options

The advertised rent is based on single occupancy. For a couple, I would charge an additional $250 per month to account for increased hydro and gas costs and the additional impact of a second occupant on the household.
