Hello! I’m Barbara (33 year-old female), the homeowner. I am housemates with Aishat (24 year-old female), and we are looking for a new housemate beginning August 1st. We are saying good-bye to our current third roommate, as she moves in with her partner this summer, so we are looking for another great person to join us and share our cozy home.

A little about us is that we both love food from all around the world, and often catch up while cooking in the kitchen. We are both night owls, who enjoy long quiet evenings, but also can be loud and boisterous when our social batteries are full. Aishat is often found tuned into the zeitgeist, discussing current events and internet/pop culture trends, while I am often outside tinkering in my garden, listening to the birds, or creating something.

Our space is a neurodiverse and queer-friendly home, and we strive to maintain a peaceful and beautiful living space, which is clean, organized, environmentally-conscious, and where everyone’s nervous system can regulate/feel safe. We aim to co-create an enjoyable, supportive community between us roomies, that fosters companionship and connection, while also allowing each their own space and privacy. We would love to live with someone who is very considerate, clean, open, honest, respectful, reliable, and communicative, and who is in a calmer stage in their life. I also have one sweet and shy kitty-cat, Soleil, so a fondness of cats is a must for any future roomie, as well as them being someone who is gentle and kind towards animals.
