Hello! I’m Barbara, a 33 year-old female, and I am the homeowner. I am an expressive arts therapist and run two small businesses. I am housemates with Aishat, a 24 year-old female, who works as a medical administrative assistant. We are saying good-bye to our current third housemate, as she moves in with her partner this summer, so we are looking for another great person to join us and share our cozy home.

A little about us is that we both love food from all around the world, and often catch up while cooking in the kitchen. We are both night owls. Aishat is often found connecting with her long-distance partner, working out at the gym, taking walks, or studying, while I am often found outside tinkering in my garden, curiously learning about something, or creating art.

Our space is a neurodiverse and queer-friendly home, and we value and strive to maintain a peaceful and beautiful living space, which is clean, organized, environmentally-conscious, and where our nervous systems can regulate/feel safe. We aim to co-create a fair, enjoyable, supportive community between us roomies, that fosters companionship and connection, while also allowing each their own space and privacy. We would love to live with someone who is very considerate, communicative, honest, respectful, reliable, actively practicing sustainable living, who is in a calmer stage in their life, and has an open/friendly/kind demeanour.

I also have one sweet and shy kitty-cat, Soleil, so a fondness of cats is a must for any future roomie, as well as being someone who is gentle and kind towards animals. (Soleil happens to really love the storage space of this room, so if you are happy letting her visit you sometimes, that would be wonderful, but is not expected).
