The room is private, furnished. The house is large so it has plenty of space. You can place a desk in your room to study or watch TV. We are located very close to the Chimney Heights golf course.

I’m looking for a mature, quiet and responsible person who is looking for an affordable place to live and would be interested in a mutually beneficial living arrangement.

The home is located in Chimney Heights, Surrey.

The person would have their own private bedroom and access to the rest of the house. There is a shared bathroom, although for the right person, I can offer a larger room with its own private bathroom.

💰 RENT

The normal market rent is:

• $800/month – private room with shared bathroom • $1,000/month – room with private bathroom

However, for someone who is willing and able to help with the agreed household responsibilities and assist my mother, the rent would be reduced to:

• $400/month – shared bathroom • $600/month – private bathroom

Utilities and Wi-Fi are included. Basic groceries are also included, including Indian/Punjabi food.

🏡 WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR

The person should be available for at least 1 hour per day, Monday through Saturday. Sunday would be their day off.

The responsibilities would include:

• Checking in with my mother daily and making sure she is doing okay • Spending some time talking and providing companionship • Helping with meals and basic daily activities • Helping around the house • Cleaning the kitchen and doing dishes • Vacuuming approximately once every 3 days • Thoroughly cleaning one room of the house each day • Taking out the garbage • Doing my mother’s laundry – this is an important requirement • If possible, helping with occasional driving/errands

My mother needs regular assistance with some daily activities, so I’m looking for someone who is genuinely caring, dependable and comfortable helping an older person.

🗣️ PUNJABI

Being able to speak Punjabi is important, although it is not absolutely essential. Someone who can communicate comfortably with my mother in Punjabi would be preferred.

If you enjoy cooking Indian/Punjabi food, that’s an added benefit, and Indian/Punjabi meals and basic groceries are included as part of the household arrangement.

👤 IDEAL HOUSEMATE

I’m ideally looking for a mature, quiet and respectful female housemate who is looking for a stable place to live for at least 6 months.

Non-smoker is absolutely required.

A valid driver’s licence would be preferred, particularly if you are comfortable driving, but having a vehicle is not mandatory.

Personal references would be appreciated.

This is intended to be a mutually beneficial living arrangement: you receive a comfortable home, utilities, Wi-Fi and basic groceries at a significantly reduced rent, while helping with the household and checking in on my mother.
