About the room
Short or long-term rental
Located in a quiet Laurelwood neighborhood of Waterloo, this detached house is steps from a grocery store, pharmacy, cafe, and several food spots. The walk to public transit is less than a minute away. For students, the time to reach the UW core is 15 minutes.
As shown, the common area of the house are furnished as is the kitchen cookware and essentials. The bedrooms are unfurnished, however there is a spare double mattress and bedframe with storage available if needed/requested.
The house has one full bathroom and one half-bathroom.
Utilities, including internet, are all included in the price, as I work from home and it would be unfair to split the costs of utilities when the bulk of the daily usage comes from myself. Parking is available for a single vehicle per person, additional street parking is available for any guests. Please note that there is no charge for parking, however, all tenants with vehicles are equally responsible for snow removal during the winter months.
Looking for 1-2 occupants over the next two months to fill the empty bedroom and the room that will be vacated in May. Alternatively, looking for a single additional occupant willing to split the rent/utilities in half instead of 3-ways if they are looking for a place with less people and would like to have additional personal space in the house (ie. take over the main and secondary bedrooms)
About the roomies
Iโm a young professional who works from home for a civil engineering consultant. When Iโm not working Iโm likely out walking my dogs (a pair of Korean Jindos), playing games with friends, cleaning around the house, and mostly just keeping to myself.
The dogs are both incredibly tame, donโt misbehave indoors, and spend 99% of their time hidden away in my office or my bedroom.
The second roommate is a young female professional finishing up her final year of schooling in May. She will be moving out after she is done her courses, however in the meantime she keeps almost entirely to herself while at home and keeps her space and the common spaces exceptionally clean.
