We would like it if you were:
Female; aged (18 to 25), but we donβt discriminate Friendly. Happy, Fun! Wanting to be friends. Youβll like to socialise with us sometimes or one or the other. Maybe over yoga, walks, trips, events in town, cycle, conversations, a meal together when possible, the odd movie night with popcorn. A happy vibe person. Can converse. A mindful, joyful person. This home is a considerate, kind, helpful one. Points if you can communicate and hold a conversation. Roommates are a friendly community where we have each othersβ backs. Apparently, Twister board games for resolving arguments? We have 4 mats to join together so itβs adult fun-size now! Or, we just have a slip-n-slide for the heck of it? A good communicator: know how to be positive. No tobacco smokers. 420 outside (even winter!) CONTACTING US: Please introduce yourself:
What do you like to do by yourself and with others? What were your previous roommate cohabiting situations like? What is your period of stay (start/end)? Whatβs your personality/character like? The Move-In Process:
Email us with your cell number and possible dates for move-in / duration of stay; Arrange viewing and chat; Hopefully we both like each other. Pay security/damage deposit to secure room (returned in full with no damage with one calendar monthβs notice) - you get a receipt; and Pay first monthβs rent on the day of move-in and receive the keys! Note: All payments are by e-transfer only for record keeping. Proof of employment / University / funds, previous landlord/roommate references, damage deposit are required before move in.
INTERVIEW (Meeting or phone chat): We ask a lot of questions. To learn about you. To figure out if itβs a good fit first. Questions range from whether you cook, what you like to do with roomies, and overnights guests. In the end, we all want to simply float happy and be chill when living together. :)
About the roomies
There is currently 1 UoA female student.
Expectation on behaviour: clear and friendly communication. Cleaning (there is a simple weekly schedule). Normal social behaviour with chatting / hanging out in the open spaces without having awkward silences when bumping in the kitchen or for choosing a Netflix when hanging out. Being respectful of quiet time after 10pm when people are sleeping (if theyβre not sleepingβ¦ thatβs different. ) Also, not touching other peoples things. No stealing chocolate milk at midnight! Really simple. No drama. Just a chill, happy place, hang out. Common sense stuff really. No leaving written messages.
Plus points for you:
you have good music tasteβ¦ wonβt try and cause drama not try and avoid to clean weekly and hope someone else does it comfortable around the other roommates. Enough to eat / drink at the same table at breakfast or lunch or dinner by coincidence. not try and avoid roommates in the kitchen or lounge, cause thatβs just weird vibes At ease to talk about the dayβs craziness at school or work. you appreciate amazing British humour and can roll your eyes appreciate there is a 10pm quiet time on school nights, meaning: you know roommates are asleep so you wonβt blast loud music.
The 3rd person when around (he travels around the world alot) is a British guy, professional career. He plays sports (beach volleyball, running/jogging, slo-pitch, biking, board games, movie nights, music at bars/clubs), attempting yoga in secret and going out for bites, or walks or just chilling happily. Heβs works from home and is sometimes away out of town/country on/off. Sometimes 1 month, sometimes 6 months exploring Canada or the world. Itβs his leased place, and comes with amazing past roommate references that cost a lot. Heβs seriously funny and would make an amazing stand-up comedian if it wasnβt for his model good looks (eye roll).
